Our annual Anzac Service was held on Saturday 20 April.
We welcomed, among our many guests, Federal Assistant Defence and Veterans’ Affairs Minister Matt Thistlethwaite, NSW Veterans Minister David Harris, our guest speaker RAN Captain Richard Brickacek CSC DSM, Air Commodore Steve Pesce AM, NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb APM plus Federal and State Members of Parliament.
As always, many of our partner NSW RSL Sub-Branches sent representatives, plus local schools also attended.
Music was provided by the NSW Corrective Services band, the choir from the Strathfield North Public School, and the Te Wairua Tapu Maori choir provided a moving version of the New Zealand national anthem.
We were also proud to salute four WWII veterans, Len Sicard (101), David Trist (99), Bruce Robertson (104) and Reg Chard (100).
A wreath laying service followed the guest speaker, giving the opportunity for our special guests, ex-service representatives, community and school groups, plus many individuals to pay their respects on the day.

We thank everyone who attended, and we hope to see you all again soon at the Walkway.
Lest We Forget.
