The Walkway

Memorial Centrepiece: Our beautiful Memorial Centrepiece is at the centre of the Walkway, and features five iconic images taken from the Kokoda campaign.

Memorial Rose Garden: Opposite Concord Hospital, the Walkway commences at the beautiful Memorial Rose Garden, featuring over 500 plaques, most dedicated to those who served in WW2 and the Kokoda campaign.

Information Stations: There are 22 Stations along the 800m Walkway, explaining the military engagements or localities along the Kokoda Track, Milne Bay, and the northern coastal regions of Papua New Guinea. Each has text and photographs highlighting the battles and conditions. Each webpage also contains extra images not on the actual Station. NOTE: From late Sept. to mid-Oct. all Stations will be refurbished. See here for more details.

Cafe & Covered Function Area: check out the cafe and covered function area (available to hire) while at the Walkway.
